How much does a SWPPP cost?

SWPPP Desk prepares a site-specific SWPPP for a fixed $449 for a small site (1 to under 5 acres disturbed) or $749 for a large site (5 acres or more). Permit fees, inspections and BMP installation are separate costs paid by the operator.

National guide. The rules cited are from EPA's 2022 Construction General Permit (as modified in 2025), checked October 20, 2026, which applies where EPA is the permitting authority. Most states issue their own permit with different details; check your state before relying on a number.

Delivery is by email the next business day after your inputs are complete. All sales are final. We revise your plan free until it meets the stated scope. Our checkout is open in the states on coverage by state, some with limits.

Costs a SWPPP price does not cover

Permit fees, paid by the operator to the permitting authority where a fee applies. Texas example: TCEQ NOI.
Site inspections, required every 7 days or every 14 days plus after storms under EPA's permit. EPA 2022 CGP Part 4.2 We do not inspect sites.
Buying, installing and maintaining BMPs such as silt fence, inlet protection and stabilized exits. EPA 2022 CGP Part 2.1.4
Engineering design, sealed plans and local erosion control plans that a city or county requires from a licensed professional. Our site check stops those orders before payment.

What changes the cost of a plan

Disturbed acreage. Our two prices follow the permit's size classes: under 5 acres and 5 acres or more, counting any larger common plan.
The permit that applies. Each state permit lists its own required SWPPP contents, so the work follows the permit text for the site's state.
Engineering work. Sediment basins, runoff calculations and post-construction design need a project designer or licensed professional and add cost outside a SWPPP price. We do not take those items.
Filing and local plans. NOI fees and any city or county erosion control plan are separate from the SWPPP.
