SWPPP Desk is a brand of Vertexium Environmental Solutions LLC, Krugerville, Texas.

Not legal advice. We prepare stormwater pollution prevention plans and publish general information about stormwater rules. Nothing on this site, in our emails or in a plan is legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is formed. For legal questions, ask a licensed attorney in your state.

Who prepares the plan. Plans are prepared by our team led by Mohamed Elansary, PhD. We are not a licensed engineering firm and do not seal plans. We do not hold or claim any SWPPP-preparer, inspector or engineering licence or certification. We use software tools, including AI drafting tools, for a first draft, and a person reviews every plan before delivery.

No seal, no engineering design. Our plans are not sealed or stamped and do not include engineering design or calculations. Where a state or local rule requires a sealed plan, or a licensed or certified preparer, we do not take the site through checkout, except where our Terms (Schedule A) allow it with your own licensed professional's approved or sealed plan.

The operator signs. The operator reviews, signs and certifies the plan, files any permit forms, and is responsible for permit coverage, putting the plan in place, inspections, maintenance, updates, records and compliance.

No site visits. We do not visit, survey or inspect sites. The plan relies on the facts and drawings the operator gives us. We do not check field conditions.

No promise of outcome. We do not promise that any agency, MS4, lender or other party will accept the plan, that permit coverage will be granted, or that a site will be free of violations, inspections or penalties.

Not affiliated. SWPPP Desk is not affiliated with or endorsed by the US EPA, TCEQ, or any state agency or MS4.

Reference content. Guides, templates, FAQs, the glossary and news are general information, dated where possible. They may not reflect the latest rule change in your state. Read the permit that applies to your site. Links to government and other sites are for reference; we do not control them.
