In Utah, construction stormwater coverage comes from UPDES General Permit for Storm Water Discharges from Construction Activities (permit no. UTRC00000), issued by Utah DEQ, Division of Water Quality. It took effect July 1, 2024 and expires June 30, 2028.
Where we can help. Sites of 1 to 5 acres with no perennial surface water within 50 ft and no steep slope (70% or more with 10 ft or more of elevation change). Larger or triggered sites need a qualified SWPPP writer under Part 7.2.

What a SWPPP Desk plan covers here
We prepare a site-specific plan written to UTRC00000, with each section mapped to the permit part it answers. You, the operator, review and sign it and keep it on site.
Checkout open, with limits in Utah. State ruling: Sell, limit: 1 to 5 acres, no triggers. The site check on the plan page applies these conditions before payment. See coverage.
Before checkout you confirm:
- The site is not within 50 feet of a perennial surface water and not on a steep slope as defined in the permit (Part 7.2).
Acreage limit in Utah: up to 5 acres.
What we do not do
- Our plans are not sealed or stamped. BMPs that need design calculations, such as sediment basins and post-construction practices, come from your design professional.
- The operator signs the plan and is responsible for it.
- We do not visit or inspect sites.
- We do not file the NOI or any permit application for you. We tell you which form and portal the permit names.
